Jet Li was a scary experience as a puppy, when he was born, his placenta had gotten stuck behind his sister who was lined up behind him, and when he was born, it ripped the placenta from his belly, opening his belly up and exposing his insides.  My mother, Shannon, acted quickly being a nurse and was able to sew him up and get him going.  We watched him for days, worried if she might have caught the intestines with the needle, or if he was going to heal right.  He made it through with no problems, not even an umbilical hernia!  He is in a wonderful home with Sally and her family and gets to play in the show ring every now and then!
